Egyptian Relief

This is a low relief of Sety I and the Goddess Hather.Nineteenth Dynasty. From the Tomb of Set I at Thebes. This is taken from a pillar at the King’s Tomb. They are posed in a conventional embrace and formally represented, with the goddess’ crown turned to the viewer. There is a crack sculpted in the side to look aged and many symbols placed in a abstract manner. This is a contemporary relief with raising the figures and symbols slightly higher than a normal low relief.

This took 5 months to sculpt than was molded. This is the final sculpture which is a lightweight material made to look heavy. This is made with neoprene and grabs every detail sculpted. This has a wood frame in the back to support this sculpture while a heaver foam in the back bringing and sporting this sculpture. Than this took another three months to paint the hair and details .Many highlights and lowlights ,washes to create the aged effect. must see in person. This is so lightweight yet looks just like stone. I can move this sculpture to another area. I can easily grab this and move this around. This looks just like a stone carving.
